African Drumming Workshops
Classes of up to 30 children can be catered for with ideally 6-8 session in a day (although this can be more if required). Each session will be geared towards the age of the class participating and will involve copying and learning various rhythms. Children can be warmed up through various clapping exercises before moving onto the drums.

The drumming workshops can focus either entirely on African drumming, if Africa is the theme of the day, or can incorporate other rhythms including Asian, European and Caribbean styles.
We recommend finishing the day with a performance to the whole school. It is also possible for some of the children who have participated during the day to take part in the final performance
