Kelley B. - vocals, trumpet and keyboards
A sexy chick playin' a mean horn, keyboards and singin' too? That's Kelley B. Most people ask, "How many instruments DO you play?". A native of London and a graduate of the Guildhall College of Music, Kelley has spent considerable time playing on the island of Trinidad and has toured the Caribbean with renown soca bands such as Atlantik, Machel Montano's Xtatik and Spektakula calypso tent. As a full-time musician Kelley B. is an exciting and hot performer and keeps the audience calling for more. Just wait 'till you see her blow dat horn.
Glen Grant-drummer extrordinaire
"General" Glen Grant out of Birkamstead, Hertfordhire is one of the Top Ten reggae drummers, worldwide. "The General" grew up in Watford at the inception of the whole Rasta/Reggae movement and his since played with, toured with, or made the warm acquaintance of virtually everybody in the business. Hailing from Belmont, Trinidad, this man eats drum and bass for breakfast.
Flex Murder- DJ vocalist
Flex adds a whole new flavor to the Hot Like Fire vibe. He sings DJ/singjay style, original lyrics and covertunes. Richie Spice, Damian Marley you name it. Flex has dynamite style and energy and keeps all the gyals dem smiling!
Reggie Beazer-bass
Reggie is an asset to any band. Cool as a cucumber. You might wonder what he's up to because he's smiling from the beginning to the end of the show. Originating from the island of St. Croix he is one of the founding members of one of Boston's most respected reggae bands from back in the day called "Motion". When he is not playing with Hot Like Fire you will find him touring with St. Croix's "Bambu Station".
Sean Acker -guitar
Look up "mad skankin' reggae guitarist" in the dictionary and you will see a picture of Sean. This dude has a total knowledge of reggae guitar comparable to any Jamaican. You may remember him from his years performing with Boston's Dub Station. He is also a very talented producer.
John "Redd" Lima
Redd has been a Hot Like Fire icon for many years now with the signature way he rocks his head to the music. John "Redd" Lima was born in Boston. His mom is Puerto Rican and his dad is from Cape Verde, so don't mistake him for a "white boy"! As a kid, Redd always hung out while his dad played keyboards in a Cape Verdean band and eventually followed in his father's footsteps. He paid his dues with "Motion", one of Boston's most respected reggae bands back in the day and backed up artists like Anthony B, Baby Cham and LadySaw.
