Silver Birch
The band started 1n 1972 as a four piece unit - Geoff Liles, Angie Seal, Chris Coombs (Tim's brother) and Dave Woods. They were four teachers who started a folk club at their school and decided to go along to the local folk club to sing their songs.

IAN RUSHMER
Ian plays fiddle and Irish whistle. He is without doubt, one of the best fiddlers on the current folk scene. In his formative years, he was taught by the late Pat Neilly - the renowned Irish fiddler.
DAVE WOODS
Dave plays electric guitar,acoustic guitar, bass guitar and mandola. He is a founder member of the original Silver Birch line up (the band was founded in 1972). Dave also plays in Missing Time. He makes his own instruments.
NEIL WOODS
Neil is Dave's son. He plays electric and acoustic guitars. Besides playing with Silver Birch, he performs with his partner Molly Gough, accompanying her on acoustic guitar.
